Your second home, on your terms

Four tiers, one long-term visa — built around residency, property, and family.

01

Renewable Up to 20 Years

Silver runs 5 years, Gold 15, Platinum 20 — every tier renews for as long as you keep meeting the conditions.

02

Work Rights at Platinum Tier

SEZ, Silver and Gold don't permit employment — but Platinum tier holders can legally work and hold directorships.

03

Only 90 Days a Year Required

For applicants aged 21–49, as little as 90 days a year in Malaysia keeps your MM2H status active.

04

Property You Actually Own

Every tier requires a residential property purchase — real equity in Malaysia, not just a rental deposit.

05

Four Tiers to Fit Your Budget

From SEZ to Platinum — choose the fixed deposit and property level that matches your goals, not a one-size threshold.

06

Education & Healthcare Access

Enroll children in local schools and access Malaysia's private and public healthcare system as a resident.

Do you know PVIP?

Alongside MM2H, our company is also a government-licensed processing agent for the Premium Visa Programme (PVIP) — Malaysia's other long-term residency route, built for those who want to work, run a business, or skip the property purchase entirely.

  • One fixed deposit of RM 1,000,000 — no property purchase required
  • Work, hold directorships, and run a business — allowed outright
  • No minimum stay — keep your tax residency wherever you like
  • 20 years of residency upfront, renewable for another 20

Frequently Asked Questions

What is MM2H (the Retire in Malaysia visa)?
Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) is a long-term visa for foreigners who want to retire or live in Malaysia long-term under a renewable social-visit pass. It does not lead to PR or citizenship.
What are the MM2H categories and visa durations?
Four tiers: Platinum (up to 20 years), Gold (up to 15 years), Silver (up to 5 years) and SEZ — Special Economic Zone, e.g. Forest City, Johor (up to 10 years). All categories are renewable based on compliance.
What are the financial requirements for each MM2H tier?
Fixed deposit by tier — Platinum USD 1,000,000; Gold USD 500,000; Silver USD 150,000; SEZ USD 65,000 (age 21–49) or USD 32,000 (age 50+). A government participation fee also applies depending on category.
Is property purchase required under MM2H?
Yes — one residential property is mandatory: Platinum RM2 million+, Gold RM1 million+, Silver RM600,000+, and SEZ in Forest City (developer pricing). Only a single property (one SPA) is allowed, and it generally cannot be sold within 10 years, except to upgrade or on visa cancellation.
Can the MM2H fixed deposit be used?
Yes — up to 50% may be used after visa endorsement for property purchase, medical, education or domestic tourism. Interest earned is tax-free and belongs to you, and the balance is withdrawable after official visa cancellation.
Can MM2H holders work or run a business?
Only Platinum-tier holders may work, invest, or act as company directors or shareholders. Gold, Silver and SEZ holders cannot work or operate businesses.
What is the minimum stay requirement for MM2H?
Applicants under 50 must spend 90 cumulative days per year in Malaysia. Applicants aged 50 and above are exempt.
Who qualifies as dependants, and what medical cover is required?
Dependants include spouse, parents and parents-in-law, children under 34 (unmarried and not employed in Malaysia), and disabled children (no age limit); siblings, grandparents and nieces/nephews are not eligible. After approval, a medical check-up is required and health insurance is mandatory for applicants under 60 (and must be maintained for renewal).
